15 / 01: Vancouver Closes Olympic Snowboarding Mountain

Warm weather and rain forced Vancouver Winter Olympic organizers to close a mountain resort that will be used for snowboarding and skiing in the games next month. The closure of the ski runs at Cypress Mountain near Vancouver comes two-and-a-half weeks earlier than planned. The mountain will be the site of freestyle skiing, moguls and ski cross, as well as snowboard competitions at the Winter Olympics. (Bloomberg)
